How To Become a High School and Middle School Official
First, to become a high school official, you must be out of high school. If you have an interest in officiating but are still in high school, you can officiate middle school.
Meetings for interested people are coming up in January. There will be one meeting on January 5, one on January 6 and another on January 24.
Registration is required with both the South Carolina High School League and the local Rock Hill Referee Association. More information can be obtained via the meetings or by emailing Rick Rogers at rhrefassignor@gmail.com.
High school and middle school officials are paid a per-game fee in addition to travel fees at $0.45 per mile. Schedules are extremely flexible and those interested can be worked around any personal/work schedule.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO rhrefassignor@gmail.com so that you can be added to the email distribution list for future communications.
